Youth Arts Training Program

As part of YATP, the Tucson Arts Brigade offers fine art classes, workshops and events involving arts education, training and development. We offer after school and summer fine arts programs for ages 4-17 featuring visiting artsists and cutting edge curriculum. Click here to see the current schedule.

We offer internships through our Artist Facilitator in Training Program as well as special workshops for adults and families throughout the year. Artist Facilitators and Visiting Artists with TAB exhibit their work as a group, and individually throughout the world.


Fall 2003 After School Fine Arts Training Program for Youth

The Tucson Arts Brigade announces the continuation of our Fine Arts After School Program every Wednesday 3-6pm Ages 5 - 14 September 17 - December 17, 2003 in our new location at the Jewish Community Center 3800 E. River Road (at Dodge). The Tucson Arts Brigade in collaboration with the Tucson Jewish Community Center are sponsoring a unique program featuring fine arts projects that teach about the tools and techniques used throughout the world. Accomplished and emerging artist experts in their field of mastery provide instruction in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, mural-making, art history and photography. This program is open to the general public. There is open enrollment, students may attend one or more sessions. This amazing after school program features hands on projects where students learn about the tools and techniques used in the fine arts through the eyes of the world. This fall features professional working artists including Tania Gonzalez-Ortega Rebecca Klug, Susan Link, Steven Renzi, Michael Schwartz and Linda Ulen. Students learn about and participate in creating murals, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and photography, enjoy field trips and participate in exhibitions.

The Tucson Arts Brigade is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to offering innovative visual art programs and the production of temporary and permanent works of community, participatory and public art. This program is made possible in part with support from the Tucson/Pima Arts Council, the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Arizona Arts Share, National Endowment for the Arts, the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona and TAB upporters.
