Tucson Arts Brigade presents THE WATER FESTIVAL: Synergy of Art, Science, and Community (3rd Annual) on March 18, 2012 at the Armory Park Center, 220 South 5th Avenue. Participate in this one-of-a-kind event that brings community together through diverse activities for learning, networking, family-friendly fun, and creative engagement with water and water-related issues (food security, health & wellness, cultural connections) from various perspectives. The Water Festival features an art show, exhibitor fair, dance/theater performances, panel discussions, speakers, workshops, films, music, kids activities, spiritual water practices, and more!

This year's festival theme is “Water and Community: A Centennial Journey - Then, Now, and Into the Future", examining the history and future of water and how that has impacted our culture, traditions and daily lives.

The Water Festival continues to build on past success such as inspiring the founding of Greater Tucson’s World Water Week, a local celebration of the United Nations event.

Youth Group Mural Design TUCSON YOUTH COMMUNITY
ARTS COUNCIL

Tucson Youth Community Arts Council meets every 2 months and is open to youth throughout the community ages 8 and older who are interested in planning and taking leadership in service based community arts projects.

Join a group of civically-minded creative youth ages 8-21 to plan, support and lead community arts projects. This group develops, manages and promotes youth led community arts initiatives. TAB believes that youth deserve a chance to be leaders on their own green arts projects, requesting technical advice and service as needed. Examples of past youth projects include performance art, videos and murals. Current suggestions include small mosaics, art parks and civic engagement projects.
